Studio Reckless MSN-04 Sazabi - Preview

Hey guys, I thought it be best to show you guys what I'll be working on for the next couple of weeks after I'm done with the RG Freedom. This is a full resin kit that I had pre-ordered in the winter of 2010, and within the next 8 months it finally arrived at my doorstep. The wait wasn't so bad because I was preoccupied with other things, such as school and work. However, with the MAC contest underway, why not showcase this guy so you can have an idea on what it is. To begin, its a full resin kit made by the company Studio Reckless. It was first introduced in Chara Hobby 2010 and sculpted by Mr. Hiroyuki Komatsubara. I do not know if he made other kits similar to this, but I do know that under the company SC, they've made other full resin kits like the Nu Gundam and Unicorn.

The kit you see below is a recast by SMS. SMS, (if you're not familiar with) is a resin recast company based in China, whose reputation in this line of business is well known for their high quality cast. This is my first SMS product, and at a glance looks it very promising without the prospect of heavy cleanup. Also, since this is a SMS recast version of the Sazabi, they've made some small changes in the design. For example, the funnel are a lot larger than the original.

RG Aile Strike Gundam - Finished

Alright guys, this is my most recent kit that I've completed so far in my modeling career. Its the 1/144 RG Aile Strike Gundam, and I've to say that I absolutely love the Real Grade line. The amount of details, mechanics, parts, movements, and poses that this guy can dish out is absolutely outstanding! Also please look forward to my WIP RG Freedom; that guy still has a along way to go, but I think its safe to say that I'm already halfway done with him. I hope you guys enjoy this kit it, because I certainly do!

MG Wing Gundam Ver EW - Finished

Heres another one of my earliest work. The MG Wing Gundam Ver EW with a custom red paint scheme. this is my second painted kit, and my very first using an airbrush. hope you guys like it! As for the buster rifle, I did not bother painting it because I couldn't stand the fact that the Wing Gundam hands couldn't hold it. The gun is just massive!

MG Deathscythe Ver EW - Finished

Here is another one of my earlier works. Its none other than the MG Deathscythe Ver EW! I had a lot of fun with this kit because I've always been a huge fan of the Gundam Wing Lineup. For the paint scheme, its pretty much straightforward minus few details I changed. Such as the thighs and side squirts, and last but not least, the decals. I used water slides that Bandai had offered for the MG Deathscythe. I hope you guys enjoy my work! Cheers!

MC Hi-Nu Gundoom - Finished

Hey guys, I'm feeling a little under the weather as of late, so I'm holding off on modeling until I feel better. In the meantime, I thought it be cool to try out my new camera and see how well it takes pictures.

The model I've pictured below is the 1/144 MC Hi-Nu Gundoom. Yes, its called Gundoom, not GUNDAM! To get straight to the point, this is a plastic inject copy of a conversion kit for the 1/144 Hi Nu, but with a few slight differences. The conversion kit can be found HERE. If you're interested in purchasing this kit, then I recommend buying it from SamuelDecals. I dont know if he still has some in stock, but try emailing him and inquire more about it. As for me, I bought this kit off a guy on ebay that was selling it for roughly 50 dollars shipped. You can also purchase this kit from http://gundamcentral.weebly.com/.

WIP RG Freedom - Part 2

Hey everyone, its been a long time since my last update, but i managed to make some significant progress. So far, i've painted almost half of the parts that i've available. the only thing left are the white pieces that i need to prime and paint. After that, i'll put the freedom together and give it a nice clear coat. Today i plan to prime the white pieces with mr white base 1000, and let them sit overnight to dry/cure. tomorrow i'll paint the remaining pieces with Mr Color White, and i'll be then moving on to assembly. I hope you guys enjoy my WIPs, and please visit my blog for more updates! Cheers!

WIP RG Freedom - Part 1

Hey guys, I"m taking a break on the RC Nightingale, just because its a big project and I like to focus on smaller projects for the time being. Right now I'm working on my RG Freedom Gundam, and am planning to enter it into the MAC Mecha Contest. So far progress has been slow due to other activities, but the deadline for the contest is not until July I believe. I plan on doing a standard paint job w/ panel line and decals. Its a simple build really w/ not much medication done to it. My next update for this project will continue when I start painting it. Hope you guys enjoy my WIP and look forward for more to come!

Here is my awesome setup that I have in my room. This is where I assemble most of my kits. All the painting is done in my garage.
